Answer: 10 years.
Why did you want to become a tour guide?
Answer: My passion for traveling and learning new cultures.

Answer: +2000 tours along my career.
Let’s get to the exciting stuff. Why should anyone visit the city?
Answer: The growing collection of eye-catching attractions. First-time visitors simply shouldn’t miss a scenic ride up Sugar Loaf Mountain, and the view from the stunning Christ the Redeemer statue.
Big-time sporting events.
Delicious food and drink.
Rio’s sexy beaches.
The list goes on and on.
Is the city safe? What areas are not safe?
Answer: Rio de Janeiro is a safe city. It has a bad reputation cause people sometimes dont know the places to be safe. Just like any big city, you just have to take some precautions.
Some favelas are not safe and others are fine. Always use a tour guide for best experience in the city.
What’s the weather like?
Answer: Very tropical weather.
What languages are spoken in the area? Is English spoken?
Answer: 90% of the people only speaks Portuguese.
Is US Dollar widely accepted?
Answer: Only in some places, but you should carry Brazilian currency with you.
What are the best areas or districts to stay in the city?
Answer: Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon.
What’re your top 3 hotels and why?
Answer: Windsor Miramar, Praia Ipanema Hotel and Copacabana Palace.

How does one get around the city? Taxi, Uber, similar apps, ATVs?
Answer: Uber and Taxi.
Can you highlight the MUST see sight? Minimum of 5, feel free to share as many as you would like.

What’s the best place to take a photo?
Answer: Mirante Dona Marta View.
What about the top 3 restaurants?
Answer: Aprazivel, Churrascaria Palace and Mario’s.
What about the top 3 breakfast places?
Answer: Parque Lage, Confeitaria Colombo in Copacabana and Cafe do Alto.
What‘s the one thing you MUST eat in the city?
What about food markets?
Answer: Feira Nordestina de São Cristóvão.
Where should one go at night? Any bar/nightlife areas or districts you recommend?
Answer: Lapa is the most famous place and Rio Scenarium is a must see.
Any rooftop bars or restaurants that you recommend?
Answer: Aprazivel in Santa Teresa.
Can you recommend the best shopping areas? Best shopping mall?
Answer: Rio Sul mall and Shopping Leblon.
Do you recommend any tours outside the city? Islands? Boat Tours?
Answer: Búzios, Angra dos Reis, Ilha grande and Paraty.
Are Casinos allowed? Blackjack tables? If so, what’s the best Casino in town?
Answer: No casinos allowed in Brasil.
Any last advice for people visiting the city?
